VIDEO – WINCHESTER: THE HOUSE THAT GHOSTS BUILT

Winchester House is a mystery house in Silicon Valley. It is also known as the Winchester Mystery House. This sprawling 19th mansion  with 160 rooms was built by Sarah Winchester, an heiress to  the Winchester rifle fortune. In the 1880s Winchester moved from Connecticut to San Jose, California, where she bought a farm-house and began construction of what eventually came to be known as the Winchester Mystery House.  The mansion is known for many interesting and peculiar features like a séance room, doorway to nowhere, staircase to ceiling and the recurrence of number 13 in various parts of the mansion. And, it is believed that the house was haunted.

Now, there is a film being made called Winchester: The House That Ghosts Haunt starring Helen Mirren and Jason Clark.  The film is directed by Peter Spierig and Michael Spierig.  The film is set to release in February 2018.

The Winchester Mystery House is located at 525 South Winchester Blvd., San Jose
